Clinical Director and Occupational Therapist

Qualifications: Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy), Master of Occupational Therapy. Currently completing Doctor of Health.

University Attended: University of South Australia, La Trobe University, University of Tasmania

Special Interest Area: Complex Physical Disability, Sensory Based Feeding Difficulties’.

Favourite Food: Chicken Schnitzel

Family: Lives with husband and fur baby-Winston (pictured).

Likes: David Attenborough and Jurassic Park. Also loves to travel.

Dislikes: Eating with a spoon, wet and lumpy food.

Claire Kurtz

Occupational Therapist

Special Interest Area: Adults, spinal injury, pressure injury, falls, complex seating, home modifications.

Favourite Food: Too many to mention, I like variety and different cuisines. Raspberry dark chocolate is always a winner.

Family: One husband, one daughter and one guinea pig (Cookie – pictured).

Likes: Yoga, gardening, paddle boarding, swimming, and reading when I have time.

Dislikes: Watching the same movie twice (there are a couple of exceptions), desiccated coconut.

Special Interest Area: Working with children with complex physical disabilities and investigating assistive technology and complex home modifications solutions to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.

Favourite Food: Pizza and pasta – tomato sauce base only!

Family: A husband, 2 little boys and a big black Labrador.

Likes: Baking, being outside exploring, enjoying a good coffee and brunch with a friend.

Carolyn Pearce

Qualifications: previously Worked at the Mersey Community Hospital for 15 years, 14 plus of those in the pharmacy department as a Pharmacy Assistant

University Attended: This is the best University to study at as you learn something new everyday with no essays or assignments it is known as “The University of Life”

Special Interest Area:  Speech Pathology Therapy Assistant am currently completing “Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance” focusing on Speech Pathology

Favourite Food: Roast meat and baked vegetables (not roast beef)

Family/Pets: 3 Adult Children, 8 almost 9 grandchildren (5 girls and 3 boys) 2 Green Cheek Conures

Paediatric Physiotherapist

Qualifications: Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy)

University Attended: University of Sydney

Special Interest Area: Early intervention clients who present with developmental delay. Cerebral Palsy specific treatment including casting and Botox, Hammersmith Infant Neuro Assessment, accredited in the General Movements Assessment and completed the Advancing Paediatric Short Course in Cerebral Palsy with Monash University. She has also previously been trained in Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) as well as Bayley Scales of Infant Development (Bayley-III).

Favourite Food: Dumplings

Family: Husband and 2 beautiful girls.

Likes: Travelling, rock climbing and spending time with family.

Dislikes: Flappy things. Especially birds. Definitely birds.

Qualifications: Over 20 years of Allied Health experience having previously worked in Hospital and for a non-profit organisation. Currently working at the clinic as a Therapy and Administration Assistant

Likes: Music, reading and getting out for a bush or beach walk. My hope is to one day walk The Overland Track with my husband and Son

Robyn Quirk

Therapy Assistant and Administration

Nicknames: Popeye, Chicken, Rob, Robby.

Favourite Food: Definitely chocolate. Growing up, we always were able to choose what homemade meal we ate on our birthdays. Most of the time, my choice was chicken and cashews and a mudcake.

Family/Pets: My husband, Andrew, and I have been married for 15 years. We have one son, Sam (8), who is our miracle child.

Likes: Family bike rides, short walks to waterfall, reading novels, baking, camping; the beach; crafts – paper and timber based; and spending quality time with family and friends.

Dislikes: Fish – except tinned tuna; Bananas – really don’t like the taste or texture, not even as a baby.
