Feeding clinic

Our paediatric feeding service works with children and their families to develop individual solutions to feeding challenges. You will attend an initial assessment with either our occupational therapist or speech pathologist. After this assessment we will work together to determine how we can help. Our help may be in the form of parent education, individual therapy, group sessions and/or referral to a dietetian.

Medicare: Medicare rebates may be available for eligible clients through a GP. Ask your GP whether you may be eligible, or contact us and we can help point you in the right direction.

MAIB: We accept clients with Motor Accident Insurance Board (MAIB) funded treatment plans following a motor accident claim in Tasmania.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is the new way of providing support for Australians with disability, their families and carers. The NDIS provides children and adults diagnosed with a disability funding to support participation in everyday life activities. The NDIS also provides funding for early childhood intervention.

To determine if your child is eligible for support through this scheme visit www.ndis.gov.au and complete the NDIS Access Checklist. You can also contact the NDIA on 1800 800 110.

  2. Helping children with Autism Plan
Chronic Disease Management Plan

People with a ‘chronic and complex medical need’ may be able to access Medicare benefits to cover a total of 5 Allied Health sessions that help manage their condition. This is called a Chronic Disease Management plan. It was previously known as the Enhanced Primary Care Plan. Your child may be eligible for this plan if they have a chronic medical condition of greater than 6 months or have complex needs that require intervention from more than one health professional. You will need to discuss access to this initiative with your GP.
